The Flora by Gucci Garden Collection is a reference to a real piece of glamour history. In the 60's, Gucci created a scarf for Princess Grace of Monaco. Designer Vittorio Accornero created it for her, and the design has since become famous. The five fragrances of the collection include the five most important blossoms featured in the design of Grace Kelly’s scarf. Created by Frida Giannini, they are Glorious Mandarin, Gracious Tuberose, Gorgeous Gardenia, Glamorous Magnolia and Generous Violet. Composing the five fragrances, it was important to Giannini that every one of them represent a different facet of the same woman. “It’s a sort of bouquet of scents,” she says. “Gorgeous Gardenia because I wanted to underline the gorgeously feminine side of this fragrance.
Top notes of Gorgeous Gardenia are pear and red berries, the fragrance then continues with middle notes of gardenia and frangipani. At the base of the scent you find patchouli and brown sugar.
