The Flora by Gucci Garden Collection is a reference to a real piece of glamour history. In the 60's, Gucci created a scarf for Princess Grace of Monaco. Designer Vittorio Accornero created it for her, and the design has since become famous. The five fragrances of the collection include the five most important blossoms featured in the design of Grace Kelly's scarf. Created by Frida Giannini, they are Glorious Mandarin, Gracious Tuberose, Gorgeous Gardenia, Glamorous Magnolia and Generous Violet. Composing the five fragrances, it was important to Giannini that every one of them represent a different facet of the same woman. "It's a sort of bouquet of scents," she says.
Top notes of Glamorous Magnolia are freesia, citruses and green notes. At the heart of this fragrance lies a composition of magnolia and peony, and the base is defined by musk, sandalwood and Mexican chocolate.
