Lanvin is a French fashion house founded by Jeanne Marie Lanvin. Lanvin began her career by sewing beautiful dresses for her daughter, and soon her entire community wanted their daughters to look as beautiful as hers did. Lanvin's company took off, and in 1924, the brand expanded its range to include high-quality fragrances as well as beautiful dresses.
Lanvin's most successful fragrance is the classic Arpege Eau de Parfum, which was originally launched in 1927. Named after the French term for an arpeggio, the fragrance was named by the perfumer's daughter, a keen musician. The notes of the fragrance play together like its musical namesake - each part comes after the previous wonderful part.
