Issey Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer known primarily for his innovative technology-driven use of fabrics. Miyake was born in Hiroshima in 1938 and bore witness to the nuclear bombing of the city in 1945. He started his own brand, the Miyake Design Studio, in 1970, and began creating excitingly styled suits and clothing for women.
Miyake fragrances are full of fun and humor. The brand's first fragrance, L'eau d'Issey for Women, was created in 1992, and since then, more than 60 different fragrances have been created by the Miyake brand.
