Chopard is a Swiss jewelry and watch manufacturer which was founded by the famous Louis-Ulysse Chopard in 1860. Originally, the Chopard brand was renowned for their quality time-keeping machines. Every part of the manufacturing process was kept in-house so as to ensure the best quality product.
While the company has passed through the hands of several owners, finally ending up in the possession of the Scheufele family, Chopard launched a joint venture with L'Oreal in 1992 to produce cosmetics. Together with L'Oreal, Chopard created their first fragrance, the sweet and very popular Cashmir. The first fragrance for men, Heaven, was launched in 1994. The bottles of many Chopard fragrances resemble luxurious precious stones (such as Wish) or are strongly reminiscent of Chopard's famous watch or jewelry collections.
